Diana is an abstract artist who can’t remember when she wasn’t drawing or painting. She primarily uses acrylic or mixed medium. " I love the feel of flowing lines and shapes balanced with color. I enjoy creating texture to canvas either through application of paint or the addition of other items."


She studied studio and art history at Blackburn College in Carlinville, Illinois and Universidad de las Americas in Mexico . After graduation in 1972 she worked with Japanese artist Sachio Yamashita she states, "whose encouragement and influence I still appreciate." Later, she acquired a teaching certificate and am currently teaching art in Dolton, IL. 


She resides with her husband, Tom in Blue Island, Illinois. Diana, is She is a resident artist at Cornerstone Studio also in Blue Island.  She recently completed a five wall jungle mural for Penny Lane Pre-school in Chicago Ridge, IL.
